Math/Engineering?

Hey I'm in year 12 atm and I've got chemical engineering as my first preference, however upon reading some stuff here and other opinions, I've heard that the Maths in the course is pretty lame/general. I thoroughly enjoy math and chem and was wondering if there's anyway to go into a more Maths focused path whilst still being able to attain a degree in chemical engineering?

Oh and I'm set on going to Monash :)

Thanks :)

Double Degree in Science and Chemical Engineering with a Maths Major in science.

The first couple of units you do will overlap though (sort of a continuation of specialist maths' slightly extended concepts)
