Hi,

What's the difference between biomedical engineering and biomedicine? -- I know this makes me seem naive, but I tried searching on Google for a concise answer but unfortunately everything was vague.

Your question is like asking what is the difference between chemistry and chemical engineering, they are two completely different fields of study.

Biomedicine is the study of the life sciences, especially in relation to humans. Biomedical engineering is one step closer to engineering and will use engineering principles to solve biomedical problems, design solutions...etc.

Biomedical engineering will be more related to traditional engineering subjects than to biomedicine.

Yes I had a sneaking suspicion that they were totally different things but am happy now that's cleared up! 

Also, what's the ATAR requirement for biomedical engineering? If someone could mention the prequisites for it too that would be great.
