Transferring from RMIT Bachelor of Business to Monash Bachelor of Commerce

Okay it's been a couple of years since I actually asked a question on here.

Does anyone know who has successfully pulled off this transfer?

I'm asking on behalf of a friend who will most likely be entering the B.Bus at RMIT with the intention of Transferring to the Monash Bachelor of Commerce.

Does anyone know where I can find information as to which RMIT units will directly transfer over as Monash credit points if he is to successfully attain satisfactory scores for a transfer.

You'll have to ask Monash course advisors (or the equivalent) directly on that one.  Only they can answer that with a high degree of certainty and correctness.

Me!  Well close enough anyway. I did my 1st yr b.bus at rmit before transferring to melb b.comm. Got all my subjects credited too so your friend should be fine (only hurdle is the minimum average requirement).

sluu001, what type of scores where you getting if you don't mind me asking?

Well my average when I applied for a transfer was 84.3 through 2 semsters (8 subjects). I was advised by the commerce faculty that a 75 would be competitive for a transfer (also make sure she has the pre requisite vce study scores for monash b.comm). Ive talked to several students who have transferred into melb from other unis - the lowest I have heard was a 77 (so the 75 rule should be correct).

Just a quick question, why not BBus @ Monash and then transfer to BCom @ Monash? Wouldn't that be easier?

i was thinking of transferring from RMIT business to mebourne commerce, however i dont have maths methods which is a prerequisite. does this make this transfer impossible? what could i do

Maths bridging course at rmit - make sure you contact melb and ask if they will accept it as a mthods equivalent.

You can do a methods bridging course at RMIT.  I did a bit of Googling around and came across this subject offered which might be what you are looking for.  I'm not sure about the course codes at RMIT so I don't know if it is undergraduate or postgraduate.  It's not very clear I think.

You might have to talk to a course advisor about that.  But tell them that you want to do a methods bridging unit and then ask them which unit that would be and how to fit it into your course.
