Personally it does not matter to me if I go to UNSW or Melb. All I care about is the quality of education and also the "prestigiousness". Thanks!
"Quality of education" and "prestigiousness" probably have little in common. You might actually find that certain universities offer a very good quality of education even though they are not as prestigious as other universities (RMIT engineering comes to mind here).
And even beyond that quality of education is something which is very tangible and hard to define - it might depend on luck (i.e. who you get as your lecturers/tutors) as well as if they suit what you think is good. Like to me, because I'm lazy, a good tutor is someone who won't make me do stuff in class
get what I mean?
To be honest, you probably won't go wrong with either UoM or UNSW, I'd say take onboard TT's advice regarding the different faculties but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, they're both good unis, have a think about where you'd enjoy yourself more
