Need help

Hi. I've just moved to Australia and am studying under the BSSS system in ACT.

I previously studied in a VCE school overseas for the past 4 years, the education was really crappy (they teach the wrong things, our chem teacher was previously a yr 8 chem teacher, our physics teacher has no idea how gravity works etc) and I really missed out on a lot.

Now I'm back to do year 12 and I REALLY need help with maths. I'm taking specialist maths: core 4 and options 4. Everyone is ahead of me, I am probably the dumbest kid in all my classes but I am willing to work 4+ hours a day after school to do well. Yesterday I just sat down for 3 hours to do 6 questions on hyperbolas and their directrix/foci but I was able to do it. Today they taught parabolas with oblique directrixes and I was totally lost. No idea what they are talking about.

My sister graduated from the crappy school I told you about earlier under the VCE and she was able to get a good ATAR because all she did was print off practice exams and do them for hours and use the ATARnotes VCE study guides for everything.

The BSSS literally has NO resources for anything it seems. There are no study guides, nothing on Khan Academy, etc. I need study guide, and I NEED practice exams because theres no ****ing way in hell I'll be able to understand any concepts- I dont have time- I just have to be able to answer the questions in the exams. The curriculum books are crap, unlike the VCE books.

My question: What guides do I buy? Anyone ever done the BSSS? What curriculum do you guys think its similar to?
