Economics vs Finance Major?

Right now, I'm still deciding between majoring in economics or finance. What are the positives and negatives for both? I'm definitely doing an accounting major, but I want to know if one of them complements with accounting more?

I believe that Finance complements Accounting better

Finance definitely.

Although if you do choose economics - then you'd probably the 2nd person ever (after me ^.^) to double in these 2 majors.

I would recommend Finance simply because the pre-requisite subjects required for Accounting are usually also required for Finance - as such you find most Commerce students tack on the Finance major. Also, the things you do in the Accounting profession (especially if you do choose to go into the big 4 or become an auditor) - will require quite a bit of knowledge in the Financial World.

finance compliments accounting better, but what do you want to do when you graduate? because i know that people at places like dfat and quite a few banks prefer economics over finance, but if you want to do something like s&t then finance definitely.
