Monash Medicine Question

Hey,
I'm doing VCE through distance and just wanted to know if I can get admission to the extended rural cohort. I live in a level 3 rural town (middle of no where) but I went on the Monash seas calculator and I see that it only calculates your rurality for the school you attend, and because DECV is in Melbourne it obviously doesn't count that as rural.

Would I be able to let them know I live in a rural town but go to DECV and have a chance at the ERC or do they only count you in if you go to a rural school ?

[Not a med student obviously]

ERC seems open to all applicants, with preference being given to rural students. The Dean's Rural List seems to determine regionality on the basis of residence, not school.
