I'm enrolled in first year Bachelor of Science (Statistics) and my subjects are:
MATH1142 - Calculus 1
MATH2109 - Mathematical Computing
MATH2126 - Elements of Professional Practice
MATH2200 - Statistics 1

I feel so confused and in the dark... I've looked everywhere on the RMIT website and I can't find the answers to these questions:

1) Interpreting the timetable. It says for one lecture I am in 080.01.002. What does that mean? Is it building 80, level 1, room 2?
2) What books/textbooks do I need for each subject lecture/lab/practical? Will they supply me with anything, or am I expected to go shopping on my own to buy everything? Will they give me a list of things I need, or is that up to me to figure out?

Please help me!

Go to the campus early and ask around. Either the student centre or asking a student there should get you a better answer than on here; since we cannot provide context. (Ie. direction, layout, etc.)

As for your books, it will be in your subject outline; which should be in your myrmit portal subject pages.

Most of all, relax...... Nobody expects 1st yrs to be ready and prepared for their 1st wrek. So your lecturer will go through everything in the 1st week lecture. Just make sure you bring pen and paper (or computer/tablet if you prefer) to the class. Ill be almost certain that the lecturer may even print out the lecture slides for you in the 1st week; since nobody would know much about where everything is. (They did it for my 3rd yr lecture here at melb as well; and youd expect everyone to have some clue on how to use lms).
