Just wanting your opinions on both? For me I've always been the type to become better with practise rather than slaving away reading monotonous theory. Although I'm wondering do Des' books provide guides on topics as well as questions?

I think a lot of people swear by des o'neil. He puts out a few different books, some are practice questions and some are guides, so you can buy what you need. The question books will suffice for most people, but I think many will agree that learning the basics (in sciences for s3) is useful if you have the time.
