I understand that E1 doesn't work due to the neighbouring carbon not having any protons.

I'm not sure how E2 works because the book/online resources seems rather vague when they say E2 requires an "anti" proton - why is this molecule immune to E2 elimination (according to the lecturer), and how do we define the "anti" protons?

As a side, would the inductive effect of the Cl be enough to disable the benzene ring of that molecule despite the methyl group between them?

Can I pls have help with the following question?
The Cl-Cl bond in Cl2 has a bond energy of 242 kJ/mol. Assuming that absorption of photons of this energy will break the bond, what is the minimum frequency of electromagnetic radiation that is required?

Ans: 6.06  x 10^4 Hz
