UAC being some nice (sarcasm intended) fellows usually inflate the prices every year so it might be different for you guys. I know the 2016 cohort had it more expensive than mine (and I think I paid $37)

Some time around July or August UAC will send you a letter with your 4 digit PIN number. You will use this to apply to UAC. The process is self guided so you don't need to worry about the application process itself until then

Note, however, after a specific cutoff date (somewhere in October or November I think) if you apply late then you have to pay more. So you don't need to worry until you get the PIN but once you do you should just get the application process done

The cost depends on what date you submitted the application in.

As a side note, everyone should just enter preferences as soon as they open. Then, just go back and edit them as necessary (you can edit as much as you want until the end of the year); it guarantees that you don't pay those massive prices for late preferences ;D

This is true. I kept juggling between actl and comp sci (even AFTER release of ATARs), juggled heaps, and stuck with the former only cause I had my eye set on it since Year 10

I only changed mine around so I went into scholarship interviews with that program as Preference #1 ;)
