Pretty much, tomorrow is the last day of midsem break.

Let's see what I was supposed to do...
1. Get on track with computing
2. Do the computing lab exercise
3. Catch up on complex analysis
4. Study complex analysis
5. Catch up on linear models
6. Get rid of the linear models assignment
7. Catch up on "abstract" algebra (hmm.. I sense a pattern here...)
8. Get rid of the "abstract" algebra assignment
9. Fix up lecture stuff
10. Practice lecture
11. Prepare materials for the only uni class I teach
12. Do handwritten sample responses for said class
13. Prepare lecture slides for the final revision lecture for this class
14. Ramble
15. Blog for computing

What have I done so far?
14 - Brilliantly
Rest - About 50% of it.

Lol. I'm screwed.

But like, I'm in second year now. I'm just not as bothered as I was back then :'(

Games are only fun when you play them as a source of procrastination. :'(

At this point, it's becoming quite clear as to what I like in mathematics and what I don't. I no longer see the light in algebra.. discrete maths and analysis for dayzz. Why can't I choose what I want to do :'(

Although, at the same time, I think I'm going bonkers. I only need to do about 5 third year math courses to technically fulfil the requirements of my degree, yet I'm doing NINE. The struggles of wanting to do both pure and stats man.

Rip. Gonna be staying back at uni for one extra year. I'm going to be so old.

Get onto it rui, you don't want to be left behind. :) . Remember, the biggest motivation for uni study is to fail and lose a few grand xD. Failing to study is studying to fail.

You may be old by number, but you'll always be a kid at heart :P.

My grandpa once told me that on the day of the Moon Festival, the moon would always appear exceedingly brighter than usual. Ever since then, on this day I’ve always been looking up at the night sky, wondering if it’s really a hallucination among us, or something quite perfectly explainable.

Of course, it’s easy to just put it into Google, but I purposely left this one as a mystery. It’s nicer that way.

And it seems natural enough that once again, I celebrate this with my mum (because my grandparents are overseas). So perhaps, for the only time ever, some food pictures from the restaurant we ate at.

P.S. moon cakes are adorable.

Got my hand stuck in my car's door.. ouch...

And I had to sit a test 30 minutes after that happened...... rip...

...yet surprisingly I actually felt I did well in the test. Hope it actually went well, because I normally feel like shit after tests.

P.S. Hi Jess. :P

Finally had a break, after one full on week...

Two entries ago on Wednesday - celebrating
Last entry - that test
Friday - some special event on for breakfast. Also came in for uni to help found a society
Saturday - lecture stuff
Sunday - lecture stuff, but was more draining because I didn't lecture on Saturday
Monday - so many students to tutor
Tuesday - had an assignment due today that I was trying to finish. Also got a ticket... ugh waste of $250
Today - finished said assignment at 9:30AM in the morning.

That, and other usual stuff in life, aka uni.

Bloody hell. That might look like not much but it was a lot. So glad that this full-on week ended.

So I'll provide some updates now whilst the math questions are on pause.

I got a summer research scholarship!

That's the highlight. Other than that, currently I only have assessment tasks left for computing until the finals begin. I've been stressed out over this comp assignment for a while but it's finally beginning to properly get underway. I'm making some nice progress with it all and hopefully it goes well.
It's essentially coding UNO, albeit a more advanced version of it.

Stuff behind the scenes has been stressing me out a lot. Lots of behind-the-scenes organisation needed. Also really concerned about my progress with piano.

I'm gonna miss teaching math at uni. I probably gave a shitty final lesson (oops) but being honest, that's probably the only time I'll be able to teach math at uni. From then on it's gonna be either comp or nothing.

My first exam is my hardest. Far out.

I'm good on actual roads but I suck at parking. All of the scratches on my car have been as a consequence of terrible parking. And I just gave my car more scratches last Sunday. Geez.

I'm probably gonna write stuff here when I don't feel overly stressed and get an opportunity to (like right now, whilst the HSC math questions are on pause). But I'll try to keep enough updates here for people's amusement (???)

So, I haven't posted much because I've had very few positive things to say. Anyway.

This semester ended way too quickly. I swear, I have had very little time to try to get through a lot this time round. And I thought last semester was bad enough with the overloading. I'm just tired, but I won't have any room to breathe until the end of the month.

2 exams out of 4 done. Both of them left me kinda distraught.

Also got piano to do on top of it. Just had my trial exam and (whilst it was expected, it doesn't change my disappointment in that) I ended up with a B. I really don't want to be studying these days.

But it's just going to be a circular rant because I will feel guilty otherwise. I need my fucking HD's. Every time I see something that's not an HD it's something I can't let go of.

I have no idea how time flew so fast this time round. But it agitates me a lot. Whilst I haven't been annoyed to the point I feel like doom and gloom 24/7, I have little things to be happy or really satisfied about right now. Sure, the scholarship above is great, but stuff like that can't even squeeze its way into my brain right now because it's already clustered with more bothersome and annoying shit. I'm just thankful of the fact that I still don't need to fake laugh - I get fun out of jokes and stuff. It just can't change exhaustion.

Side note: I remember back in high school when I never needed notes for math. Now? Lol, notes are saving my ass.

Frequentist statistical analysis is bullshit. Hopefully Bayesian inference will be better next year.

I've practically accepted my fate with Gr 8 piano. I'll be happy if I can get a B. No idea what happened this year but it's been rougher than last.

Going back to China on Nov 27. Hopefully I'll be able to revitalise and enjoy a nice 3-week break there.

Something funny though. According to mum, the plane tickets that make me come back on ~Dec 20 used to be $1.6K, but now reduced to <$800. Woah. No complaints at all but dayum.

iPhone X is actually pretty OP.

I get tired so easily these days. Bleh. I know in the long run time flies by way too quickly, but at this point I just want 2017 to end. rip

Exams over. Little to say. Quite disappointed.
