A little boy from another athletics centre  (there's 5 competing here atm) was feeling scared to compete for their 300 metre race. I was being nice and cheering them on/being motivational. Anyways, when the kid comes back, he's going to get a lollipop from me- he deserves it, and I hope it makes his day ;D

Update: he's really thankful, and he's mum thought it was sweet. :)

A tourist was on my train this afternoon, heading towards the city. They weren't sure as to how to get there, so I offered to show them where they wanted to go (the Greek festival in Lonsdale St) before I go to meet my friends for burgers (100% recommend Huxtaburger if you're looking for a decent burger joint that isn't maccas :) ). They thought I was very kind and they bought me a massive bottle of lemonade as a thank you, even after I said it wasn't necessary.
Made them smile, and made my trip into the city 100% better ^_^

This thread makes me so happy! Random acts of kindness are amazing, and it's so great to read all the ones you've done :) Excited to follow this thread!

Found a wallet randomly in the mall that someone had obviously lost, looked at their licence and searched them up on Instagram, DMed them and I drove it up to their house later that evening. The girl was very grateful and gave me a box of ferrero rochers hahaha

I know that feeling. I always get a chance for random acts of kindness. Lots of people come up to me and ask for directions I don't knew why maybe I've just got a friendly face but more than the average amount that's for sure.

And while I bring up my phone and can show them the right place most of the time sometimes I get the buildings wrong either because they didn't explain it well or I mucj up the building sub codes.

Feels bad when I realise my mistake I've considered just saying 'sorry I don't know' which would be better than unintentionally pointing them the wrong way.

Either way it's soemehing that's get me at night and a mini dilemma for sure.

How am I only just finding this thread now? I've just read the whole thing and it makes me so happy, but also makes me realise how many oppotunities to be kind to others pass me by.

The library story also reminds me of yesterday when I was tutoring a little girl and her year 12 sister for the first time. When it was the Yr 12 girls turn the little one came in with a glass of iced water saying "it's for you because everytime I looked at you you looked hot" aww so cute!

You guys are all so cute! I love this thread.  ;D
So, I work in a fish 'n' chip shop and it has its moments for ARKs (acts of random kindness). A few weeks ago, there was a mother with an adorable little girl, and the mum ordered, but she didn't have money for a drink the girl really wanted. So, when we had finished cooking their food, I asked my bosses if I could give the girl the drink and they said yes, so I went up to the mother and gave her the drink. Her face just lit up and she wouldn't stop saying thank you, and the girl was really happy. It was so cute. Don't you just love that warm, fuzzy feeling when you do something for someone? ;D

So I'm at Flinders Street, on my way home and the train service before me changed platforms, and there was a carriage full of people that were sitting in the now not-running train, so I ran into the carriage and told everyone there to get off as x train is now running of platforms x and y. This office lady thanked me after I told her, she thought I was very kind and her smile made my day. :)

Was just waiting with friends at the tram stop at uni.
I saw a lady with a pram come up, and there was a step-up tram.
I was the only one who offered to help the pram up, and the lady was pretty surprised that I offered :))

Made my day 100% better :)

I honestly have started doing small deeds of kindness, and once you start, it's hard to turn back.
I started thanking the bus driver when I'm at my destination a few weeks ago, and have continued doing so.
It may be insignificant for many, but it's a start :)

Been a while since I last posted here!

So I had the morning off uni and mum invited me to come with her to her fave cafe. We bumped into one of our family friends, who was in need and I felt compelled to do something.

So I did. I gave her $50. She cried because she thought it was really thoughtful.
I'm on the bus back to the nearest train station to get to uni now and I want to cry happy tears because I've done something really nice for someone who's been in my life since I was 4!
