Has anybody seen any of this? I've really been meaning to, but haven't yet got around to it.

If you've seen it, I'd be interested in reviews/general comments on how you found it! :)

Fk me I happened to casually flick to it at the start of the episode on Tuesday night and ended up watching it for the entire hour. It's absolutely compelling stuff; you'll laugh so hard at some of the 'dramas' those little kids cry about!

In all seriousness though it actually does a very good job of portraying the various welfare issues kids face when they transition to high school. Amidst the hysterics there is a very considered commentary on issues like bullying, social media, and the impacts of streaming between ability groups. The psychologist chick who provides her insights every so often is a particular highlight.

Well worth a watch in my opinion. Entertaining on a superficial level, but also rather profound if you're inclined to go deeper.

Going to be watching as soon as I get some time. It's on my to-do list ;)

Hopefully it reflects an accurate picture of HS transition... as I have just recently experienced with my year 7 cohort. :)

They also did a season called "My Year 12 life" which was really good and relatable! (Especially cause I was in year 12 when it aired) I wonder if the year 7 life will live up to the year 12 experience

I found it almost like a mirror image of myself a long time ago ^^.

I laughed at how "ridiculous" I was at the time. I was that kid in year 7 that complained about homework, HAHA.

So glad I saw this thread. I watched all of My Year 12 life and found it really moving, so hopefully this will be just as good :)

Havent watched it yet but seems good. Hopefully will be like the year 12 one. Do u guys think they should do another year 12 one? I think itd be pretty cool!
