Is there free or discounted software for Uni students? ..well yes!  (REMEMBER THIS).. it would also happen to be entirely legal too.

Universities do offer free software for use by students, while they attend university.

To find the site do a Google Search “software for students UNI TITLE”
Common software that is offered include Office 365, Matlab, Mathematica, Chemdraw, GraphPad and SAS.

Registration keys (aka serial keys) will be provided so that you can have FULL USE of the software. There are no limitations at all.

Here are a few examples.

There are a number of software packages available to students at no charge or heavily discounted prices to assist with studies. See FEIT Learning Precinct (FLP) staff if there's a copy available to borrow.

“Software Distribution is a service where UNSW IT has negotiated with selected software vendors to obtain optimum prices and conditions for distribution of software on campus. In many cases, software is distributed cost-free as part of a UNSW-wide site licence.”
