*cue destiny child* Question

Its the dreaded ranking question that probably pisses everyone in the AN community butt..
Just wanted a clarification.

Say if person A is ranked 1 and person B is ranked 2 but within a small margin (less than 5%) is there a chance that person B can get a better study score than A if B did better in the exam overall? [For context; extremely weak cohort- so there is no pushing up for anyone in my school]

Yes, Rank #2 can achieve a higher study score than Rank #1.

EDIT: beaten ^^
Yes defintiely - it isn't too uncommon for rank 1 not to get the highest study score (especially in large cohorts). In smaller cohorts it's also very possible if someone else beats them in the exam and is ranked high enough.

Also the margin doesn't matter there is only rank 1, rank 2, rank 3 etc. VCAA don't care about whether youa re 20% away or only 0.5%.

Hope this helps :)
