I've been considering getting an English tutor this year. Does anyone know if it helps you improve based on feedback you received from teachers? Thanks

Honestly I think it would depend on a few things, namely:

(1) what you're looking for in a tutor; and
(2) the quality of your tutor and how you work together.

I'm sure tutoring would help some students but might be less effective for others. Are you able to test it out to see if it might be right for you? :)

I definitely think a tutor for English would be helpful, assuming you find one that tutors the texts you’re studying. However one of the problems my friend faced while getting tutored for English is the contrasting opinions of the teacher and that of the tutor which may bring up problems for sacs or homework

Hey there,

This is in no way an advertisement, however, Connect offers great English notes.

Edit: That can be used alongside with the great guides published by AN.
