What would you be doing if you didn't have to go to school?

Welcome to Episode 45 of The Procrastinator! Starring yours truly.

Since school (and revision for exams) takes up a good majority of my life right now, it's getting increasingly difficult for me to gain a little bit of perspective. I'm finding it challenging to think of anything else other than my next SAC or the exams because they are so freakin' close now. :/

To answer my own question, I suppose I would be investing some time into earning some money, being a little healthier, and maybe connecting more with my community.

How about the rest of you? I'm just waiting for someone to say, "I would still go to school regardless".
Listens to K-Pop (Twice, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO) and Christmas music all year round.

If I did not have to go to school, I would be working full-time in disability care, rather than part-time. I would also spend more time outside, baking, reading novels purely for enjoyment and seeing my friends.

I'd probably be (or try to be) working full time, and working more on my videography.

I would still be studying Physics lol.

Aside from that I would've probably started a youtube channel and pursued some hobbies of mine...

Even if I didn't have to go to school, I would still choose to go because I quite enjoy going to school.
It's a boring answer, I know, but it's true :)

which aspects of school do you enjoy? i like seeing my friends and i like learning but i learn better when it is self-motivated and directed. i also absorb way more reading a textbook and answering some questions than hearing a teacher read a powerpoint

To be honest this is me as well. I quite enjoyed school because it allowed me to be away from home. I didn't exactly have a great childhood, so school was a  great way for me to forget about everything at home. It's weird I know

Most aspects, really. So many leadership opportunities and extra-curricular opportunities I probably would never engage in if I didn't go to school. Also helps develop a friend circle and network of people you'll hopefully keep after school, and lets you socialise with a bunch of different people. I feel like school isn't just about learning to be 'book-smart', but they teach you a lot of other stuff too (or try to, in my case :-[)

If I didn't go to school I would probably end up being a hermit at home because I'd feel guilty going out since it's not a studious activity. I think the explanations the teacher provides at school is invaluable - yes you can get information from the textbook, but it's not the same as advice from someone who has years of experience and knows the tricks VCAA has up their sleeve, or just having a good joke. There are some questions that just can't be answered by the textbook, old uncle google or your friends. I always end up asking my teachers a lot of questions which makes me feel like I have understood the content better. I guess it really depends on your own learning style. For me, I prefer to learn at school and go through difficult questions in class so that when I consolidate my knowledge at home and do the practice questions, I am confident enough to have a crack at the hard questions. Or I could do the complete opposite - self-learn the content at home first, then consolidate it when we go through the content at school and ask any relevant questions I might have.

I don't know - I quite like it when the teacher goes through powerpoints (except some of them I sleep through). It might just be because I'm lazy and like having someone feed me all the information without having to understand all the content by myself.

To be honest this is me as well. I quite enjoyed school because it allowed me to be away from home. I didn't exactly have a great childhood, so school was a  great way for me to forget about everything at home. It's weird I know

Yeah, school is a great place to just hang out with your friends or use as an outlet.

I would probably volunteer to something or teach younger students actually! (I would still go to school though in all honesty. Maybe not everyday though)
It would be amazing to have some freedom so maybe travelling too? I've always wanted to go overseas, especially to go on a study exchange!  :)

I have a growing list called 'things to do after exams' that I add to sometimes. I guess they are things I'd do (maybe) if I didn't have to go to school.

-Improve my sewing skills by making many clothes
-Learn how to recognise microexpressions and become a body language expert
-Start a veggie patch
-Yoga every morning and night
-Get fit by jogging and also I want abs
-Learn a martial art
-Cooking
-Practice until I become really good at calligraphy
-Make a scrapbook or bullet journal
-Learn coding and other cool computer stuff
-Organise all my wardrobe and room and desk really neatly.
-Go hiking or on picnics and stuff with my friends
-Catch up on my reading list. Also I want to reread books I read in primary school and feel nostalgic.
-Write a story
-Learn ballet or salsa dancing or ballroom or another type
-learn either guitar or piano
There are more, but I don't want to go on too long haha.

I find that during the term when it's super busy, I have a bunch of things I want to do but don't have the time to, but when it gets to the summer holidays I get bored and feel like there is nothing to do. So this year I reckon I'll feel like I have no purpose and a bunch of time when exams are over and there is no studying to be done, so hopefully I can combat that feeling with the list I've made while I've wanted to do things but have no time when I've been studying.

Honestly would just read books, write some screenplays, make films, take pretty pictures and act in a couple of productions. I would also like to teach as well, that's pretty cool ;D
