Hi guys,
this is a question from my assignment (yr 11 extension), I'm finding the wording of the question slightly confusing. I have found the rule that satisfied the table its and for part i) the two equations i am using
but then i get to question ii) and i dont know how to shift my polynomials to match up the to the points in the table bc i just end up transforming the equation instead of a new/different equation.

Can anyone help me please (not expecting the exact solution just a little help pls).

:))

Hey there!

Hint: Consider what happens at the roots of the f(x) you give. Perhaps there's some polynomial you can add to the polynomial in i) that will cause the roots of f(x) to match up to those in part a).

More generally, for questions like these, consider previous parts and always look to incorporate them. In this case, both previous parts are very relevant! :)

Hope this helps :)
