Undergraduate Medicine Schemes???

Hey AN

I am an aspiring med student aiming for 2021 entry. My top preference is Monash and I was wondering whether a 2730 (83rd Percentile according to last year I think) and a potential ATAR of 98.5 approximately will get me an interview? I have SEAS which should push my ATAR up from a 98.5 to 99.4 - 99.5 Range and I also have Monash Guarantee.

Does University of Adelaide give interviews to people with below 90th Percentile UCATS since I heard they base their selection process into their interviews via the UCAT alone? Would adjustment factors or schemes allow students with lower UCATs to get an interview at Adelaide?

What other schemes do universities like UNSW, Western Sydney, JMP, University of Queensland and Curtin University have that allow for better chances of getting an interview and hopefully a spot? Do they have things similar to Monash Guarantee or just things similar to SEAS?

Thanks

Lear

Can only speak to Monash, but if your scaled ATAR following guarantee is accurate you should be good for an interview if my year was anything to go off of.

From there you’ll definitely need to do well on the interview but otherwise you absolutely have a chance of getting in.

Yo man
Kinda in the same situation as you haha. Hopefully we get thru this!
Not sure what Adelaide and Western Sydney have which is kinda worrying me too cause I have a Mid 80s UCAT score and highly unlikely that I will get an interview from those unis even tho they are pretty high on my preference list especially Adelaide.
All I know is that the cut off last year for University of Queensland was 2800 for BMP and 2870 for Unbonded if that helps at all.

Hey guys,
I just did my UCAT and got a score of 2820! I'm hoping for medicine at Monash and my predicted ATAR is 99+
Would such a score be sufficient for an interview?
Thanks
