I think it's fine to use quotes, I've seen some high scoring samples use random quoted that fit :)

1. Adventure doesn’t always involve risk; adventure is in everyday life (something along these lines)

There was also
2. From adventure there is learning (also not quoted 100%)

I did the exact same.

Am I the only one that really struggled with sam cooking grain?? I’m decent at maths yet it took me almost 20 minutes to understand what was going on. In the end I gave up and took an educated guess  :(

It took me a solid 20 minutes too, don't worry. I think I figured it out, but I've just realised I did that questions working on my actual GAT not the question paper :( I might re-do it to see if I can try and help other people :)

EDIT: I have the working for the first questions, attached in spoiler (no promises they are right)
GAT Q24, 25, 26
Question 24
U=A(mL)/R(mL)

90g of R = 125mL (using 180g of R = 250mL)

150g of A (240-90=150)

How many mL of A do we have?

Trial II: 2.4=A(mL)/125
Therefore A=300mL
In this trial, there are 300g of A so it can be determined that 1g of A = 1mL of A

U=150/125
U=1.2
B

Question 25
7/3=A(g)/90
Therefore A(g)=210
250-210=40mL
A

*now looking at my working I am not sure if I am right but feel free to correct me :)

Question 26
360g of R = 500mL
Fluffy Texture = 1.44 = A(mL)/R(mL)
1.44=A(mL)/500
A(mL)= 720mL = 720g
C

Very grateful for the memes :) Lots about Framboise and her "curious bewilderment" (I put this option but don't think it was correct) about her mother's "album" containing mysterious language.

This was my first GAT and my initial thought after it was - what were the people at VCAA even thinking when they wrote these questions?! ???

P.S. For the people who did the GAT today, this emoticon (???) is called "huh"

I feel like I messed up on the second writing task. Like I couldn't think of a whole essay worth of points for any prompt so I ended up like writing about one prompt per body paragraph lmao.
Dreamed it, then real lifed it - well, still trying (;

Anyone else find the "intentionally literal" speaker 2 guy so funny? Gave me a good chuckle as I was reading it.

Ok, Idk if it's just me but question number 64 was like the easiest question I've ever seen. Who else agrees lmao.

The English part of the GAT is a joke every question goes like this

Time is not always, but sometimes, never not unreliable and in essence, most scholars eschew objucation; imperceptibly predisposed to the ireffutable pretence of defenestration¹. Ahem yes! Although a cacophony in hindsight, his earlier frameworks serve to provocate castration or the often frivolous enigma of the observable universe; but not always.
                                      -Mahatma Gandhi
Defenestration¹: the act of being thrown out of a window.

From the passage, it is most likely:
A: Gertrude has transcended realities.
B: Existence is tentative.
C: Gertrude is self-serving.
D: Modernisation does not always improve India’s living standards.

Anyone else loved that Mark Twain quote? I practically grew up on it*, nearly started laughing outright during the exam.
*Maybe slight exaggeration  ??? :P

Dude a lot of questions on there was a joke. I remember guessing most of them because there is no sure way to work out the answer.
