Process for applying to an international university.

Hi, hope all is well.
So I am currently a year 12 student doing Spec, methods, physics, Eng lan and UMEP for mathamatics. As the title suggests, I have been looking at doing my tertiary studies overseas, specifically I am hoping to get into Harvard (I know, ambitious, unlikely, difficult etc but I do have legit reasons and means).
I was just wondering if anybody could help explain what the process for this is? Do I take the SAT's this year, what time am I meant to apply ie do they start at the same time as us, how do I apply, any tips for applying etc.
"Don't give up, and don't put too much effort into things that don't matter"-Albert Einstein, probably.

Most freshman start in the Fall semester. Applications usually open around August with decisions coming out around January/Feb before the start of the Spring semester. Ideally, you would have done your SATs before the application opens.
