Can anyone provide a rank for the best uni for engineering courses out of UoM, Monash, RMIT and Swinburne? And if possible, why?

According to the World University Ranking 2010 in Technology and Engineering:

1. Melbourne-32 in the world, regarding this subject
2. Monash -58
3. RMIT-89
4. Swinburne-not in top 100 of the world.

just be aware, technology includes medicine *i think*, which is highly regarded at uom, so that might pull the ranking up.

But there's like a "Life Sciences and Medicine" category lulz.

I don't think Monash is ever above UoM in any form of ranking though, if that matters to you.

the Monash students will say Monash is better, the UoM students will say UoM is better. It's not that easy to find people who have experienced both.

Actually, I'm one of the few who would beg to differ.  In my opinion, Monash and in some cases, RMIT engineering courses own UoM's, especially Monash.  Monash will own UoM in engineering any day.
