The good thing about Monash is that all results come out at once on the one day. The bad thing about that is I still obsess about my results and occasionally check if I got them earlier. It's a very bad and sad obsession :(

shut up james :p if that were to happen at melb, the whole system will melt down and fuck everyone over. melb IT department is shit. stuffed up with the portal, replaced alloc8 with this stupid study plan stuff etc. and just everything IT related suffers massive downtime. at least since results can be displayed early, servers should be able to cope with traffic :)

But think of the good side - we got to create our own timetable this semester instead of having everything pre-allocated and then trying hard to swap into a class that suited us.

My timetable is pre allocated anyway, I just had to wait for 5 minutes for it to load because the IT department thinks that adding a flash app to the already laggy portal is a good idea

Kinda dreading my results. Didn't put anywhere near the effort I did in my first three semesters into this one. Ahh well

I always just want to know my results but at the same am afraid of them.

You should have seen me on the day my semester 1 results came out. I was expecting to fail ESD 1 & Physics advanced. But I did well in physics (I was hoping for 50% and got 70%) and did ok in ESD 1.

But my average trend is dropping! First year: Semester one it was 74.75, semester two it was 67.75 and in Second year: Semester one was 67.50.

With my results this semester I'm expecting to get:

- Vector Calculus: 80 - high 90's
- Group Theory & Linear Algebra: 50 - 70
- Electromagnetism & Optics: 50 - 75

Not to confident with what to expect for the last two.

As for business finance in the summer I want to get 80.

Next year is when my marks really count for my core 4:

I want:

- Quantum Physics: 80+
- Complex Analysis: 70 - 80
- Statistical Physics: 75 - 80
- Partial Differential Equations: 70 - 80

Basically I want between 75 - 80 average.

I'd just like to say good luck with your results. I did Vector/Multivariable Calculus and it was pretty simple so hopefully you get as high as you want.

Even if you don't get as high as you would like, just remember that being able to pass those subjects is an achievement itself. Mathematical physics is not an easy thing so you've challenged yourself which is the important bit. I hope it all works out well for you :)

Getting an 80+ average pretty much puts you in a very good standing to get a M.Sci CSP scholarship.  :)

Thank you but it will be terribly hard for me to get the 85 average I want now with how terrible my final history essay was.
I was trying for at least 78 for that subjectghdfugjdfuhg
