This one is to rub into Dan's face :P
2010   MTH3000   3   MATHEMATICS RESEARCH PROJECT LEVEL 3   2   6   93   HD
2010   CHM2990   2   INTRODUCTORY CHEMICAL RESEARCH PROJECT   2   6   94   HD

Excellent scores with the research project. What are the research projects like? Are they easier or harder in comparison to a standard subject?

Hard. So hard. They are the reason my sleep pattern is still stuffed up (sleep at 4 or 5 am).

2010   MTH1085   1   MATHEMATICS 1B   2   6   96   HD

A good result, but it's ironic that last semester I aced the assignments but bombed out on the exam and this semester I screwed up assignments and seemingly aced the exam xD

Ahh fair enough. Guess that's what happens if you have to do two at once. An extra well done then

What did you do research in?

For chemistry I was looking at entropic dispersion in ice and water, and for maths I looked at spontaneous synchronization. :)

I'm probably going to feel more like a science student next year if my transfer goes ahead.
- what science?

I'm planning on majoring in biochem and molecular bio which will be a HUGE challenge for me because I don't really have the relevant scientific background (No VCE chem or bio so I'll have to do chm1031). I'm spending my summer holidays frantically learning as much of the fundamentals as possible, reading textbook etc. to catch up. Thankfully I've found chem pretty interesting so far. Haven't started on bio yet =[

well mate that's definitely one of the majors i'm considering. i'm tossing up between genetics and molecular bio; biochem and molecular bio; ecology and conservation biology.

i can help you with chem and bio, which i will happily trade for contracts notes! bio is easy as, although there's a fair bit of content - vce chem was simple as, uni chem i hated, and so didnt go, but my gf did it as an enhancement subject, and got me from knowing literally nothing 2 days before the exam to getting 86... and now i could also help with that. or she could. don't let that put you off your interests though, and as i said - happy to help if i can.

Can't be bothered copypasting it from teh thing, but I got 83 in PHL 1080, which I'm fairly happy with given that I hated the course.  :p

I think it'd be scaled up. There's no way I could have gotten a 91 in phs1022 without scaling.
