Calculate the pH of:
0.100M sodium propanoate (NaC3H5O2)

so far i have x^2/ 0.1-x = kb, where do we find the kb value of sodium propanoate? i looked at the appendix of my txtbook and there was no value for this

thanks

Just solved the below question XD
Another q:
[H+]= 0.020+x approximately =0.020M ;pH=1.70 ; assumption good (x or [H+]=6.5* 10^-5<<<0.020)

How do we know is the assumption is good or not, where is the x=6.5* 10^-5 from?

thanks
