"Dr Stewart - the stepson of C.P. Snow, whose novels grapple with science, ethics and the wider society - has called for the creation of an independent body to expose abuses in universities. In his Senate submission he suggests that a culture "hostile to the welfare of students" lives on in ANU's department of applied mathematics,"

Lol... that sounds really weird. But then, I've heard universities have really weird rituals in general. Reminds me of the bizarre rituals people say those secret ivy league cults engage in.

it was at Cape Town University which was either the only place or the only good place to go in Southern Africa in the 50s and he had a Rhodes scholarship. he said he didn't mind it anyways, except it was really tiring. hmm i'll ask him if there were any other strange rituals

That's absolutely bizarre to say the least. This is the first time I've ever heard of such 'rituals' occurring at universities.
Some snippets of what goes on in IRC:

Quote
<chath> ill say " i wont let you go until u kiss me bitch"

Quote
<@enwiabe> i have the BEST orgasms when i'm working through a math problem

Quote
<@mark_alec> my bikini line however, is most important

Are you scared yet?
