Awww, you still got a month RD :) Wish you all the best~!!

And I think I've made my decision, if i don't get into BCom @ Melb Uni :(
I'm gonna go to RMIT...

You doing Accountancy at RMIT?

If so, why'd you chose it over an Accounting or Commerce degree at Monash?(If you don't mind me asking)

Hopefully i wont have to go to RMIT :P lolz
I actually would really like to go to Monash, and do Accounting & Finance or Commerce but I live too far :(
It would take me about 1.5 hours just to travel there, so 3+ hours per day.
Another option is to move out, but i don't really want to do that.
So yeah, i'm pretty much choosing RMIT > Monash because traveling would be inconvenient :(
(which is really bad...but i don't want to travel that far, and i want to go to uni in the city :P lol)

Ooops, just realised, Prav already answered for me :P lols. Thanks haha.

Yeah well, Monash(Clayton) is about 1.5-2 hours travel from my house too.

Still, I put Commerce at Monash 2nd preference(Behind UoM) nonetheless.

I figure, if I just put up with the travel for one year, I will have my P's for 2nd year hence I'll be able to drive out to Clayton which will only take me 40 minutes or so.

So yeah, RMIT Accountancy is 3rd preference but I'm preparing to stick out the travel for one year I'm thinking.

However preferences 2 & 3 could swap... Haven't decided but I think I'll most likely keep Monash #2.

Awww :( Why cant there be a Monash campus in the city :P haha.

And hmm, i guess driving is an option too, but i don't like the idea of driving :(
If you saw me playing mario cart on wii ... uh ohs... :P

Hmm ReVeL, have you thought about transferring?
And does anyone know if there's any chance of transferring to BCom at UoM after first year?
If so, would going to monash give any advantage? Or would it be about the same as other unis like RMIT?

Thats a good question Roxxi.. I like the way you think. ;)

Maybe I'll e-mail the UoM and ask about transfer and if your chances of being accepted are dependant on the uni you're transfering from.

ANYWAY, I'm sure you'll probably get into UoM anyway so you won't have to worry about all this shit anyway! haha.

About the course:
This double degree program is suitable for those who aim to manage or own a pharmacy or who wish to enter into a management role in a hospital pharmacy or the pharmaceutical industry. Students complete their Bachelor of Pharmacy at the Parkville campus and subsequently undertake two years of study (or part time equivalent) for the Bachelor of Commerce at the Clayton campus.

my advice is that the parkville campus doesn't offer commerce. for the last two years you have to go to clayton for that

I don't wanna argue about which uni is better, coz i suck at arguing and i'd probably lose :P lol
But in terms of employment outcomes, it would differ depending on your employer. Some might perceive Monash more credible, some wouldn't look into it too much, but there is not much chance of RMIT being favoured over Monash. It *could*  play a part in their decision making, but there are MANY other aspects to look at, ie Uni marks, experience, extra-curricular activities...

Also, note that at RMIT, the accounting course is Bachelor of Business and at Monash it is a Bachelor of Commerce. And some firms *may* prefer Commerce grads over Business grads.

And i just looked back at my posts earlier...haha
Looks like i changed my mind :P
I've decided on going to Monash and that education>convenience.
So yeah, 3 hours a day of traveling for me, until i move out :D weeeeeeeeee cant wait XD
