I'm not sure what i got, but i'd be guessing 8,8,8 = 40. However, i'm not certain.

Estimated:
English - 38
Further - 43
Psychology - 40
Media - 33
History - 35

Actual:
English - 40
Further - 39
Psychology - 37
Media - 42 (the biggest surprise haha)
History - 39

I was closer with my predicted ENTER though. I thought i would get 90.80 and i actually got 91.15
2007 | Visual Communication and Design [37] VCE VET Hospitality [39]
2008 | Media Studies [42] English [40] History Revolutions [40] Further Mathematics [39] Psychology [37]
ENTER | 91.15

2009 | Arts/Education [Secondary] - Monash Clayton.

Just a clarification, i know the last post was in February

But with the person whoc reated this thread (can;'t go back since im typing, sorry)
they got

English
Text Analysis:       18/20     <<<<< are these for exams?
Context Piece:      18/20
Language Analysis: 16/20    <<<<<how did they lose a sizeable amount in this section and sitll get 50? BTW congratz!!!  But  i'm only surprised because it puts my hopes up! Not because I think 16/20 is bad.  It seems the SACS helped, but if your from a weaker cohort and got those exact grades in SACS and exam does that mean you will get like 42-45? ..........English is assessed so strange.

SACs: A+ A+ A+ A+ A+ (very strong school cohort)
Predicted Study Score: 47
Actual Study Score: 50
SoM: 20/20, 20/20, 20/20

Congratz again on the scores!

SoM scores are his actual marks where the others are his estimates.

You CANNOT get a 50 with 9,9,8 ???

I wish you could

He got 50 cause he scored FULL marks for his exam, 10/10 for 3 essays from two examiners.

At the bottom he's got his actual scores. With full marks on all three essays plus a high ranking in a strong cohort, there is no way he wouldn't get 50

SoM is "Statement of Marks".  It gives you specific details of what you got wrong and what you got right in an exam.

Those marks you stated (e.g 18/20) are marks that you obtain for each piece in the exam. Those three scores are added to make up your GA3 mark which is basically the exam mark.

GA1 and GA2 are your Unit 3 and 4 SAC marks

Compare "predicted to actual" is the name of the thread. SoM are his actual, the rest are what he predicted. So he came out of the exam predicting 9 9 8 and he got 10 10 10

I think threads like this are a good idea, where you show what marks were required to attain certain study scores. To give an indication for those unsure. I think there should be a thread started...

i agree M@tty, it can help make people less uneasy. I reckon many of us are soo freaked at how we are performing, what we don't need to be. If I could get an idea of what scores in GA1,2,3 peple have got to attain 35-45 it would be beneficial :D

Those are predictions, I was meaning a list of peoples actual scores and actual marks. Instead of predictions, a list of scores given by VCAA.

There are some VTAC publications on the VTAC website that provides real examples of actual scores and marks. Here's the link: http://www.vtac.edu.au/publications.html

Or else, just look at people's sig or past threads
