Microsoft has just released a *real* innovation (finally  :2funny: ) that allows a table to be transformed into an extraordinary computing experience. It uses cameras to detect objects such as phones and stuph.

To me, It looks cool but Its not worth alot if you think about it. Right now it doesn't have much productivity mainly because it doesn't allow or connect to the interwebs. Sure; the tricks and games are cool, but are short-lived.

Check it out:

LOL and the parody:

Just imagine, in a lecture theatre, while the lecturer is speaking, the Voice recognition device is processing to turn the voice into text which then are flowed through the table computers in the theatre, kinda like small Wireless Network. THAT WOULD BE SOME MAD STUPHZ (Y)

Just thought others might be interested.

I thought it wasn't going to be a retail product? At least that's what the press release seems to say, they're going to distribute it through restaurants and hotel chains.

It's a very nifty use of technology though ... if I had the chance and money to get one I would. Think of how awesome it could be once it's modded to run your own software: some of those fun flash games would become incredibly awesome on a giant touchscreen. :D
