Hey everyone, um I need some help with something, as the title suggests my iPod nano that I got for Christmas stopped working for some reason. I tried to turn it on and it wont turn on, and when i put it on to charge, it wouldn't even say that it was charging or anything, computer hasn't even detected it. What should I do? Just go get it repaired or something??

Do you know how to reset it? (turn hold on and off then hold down menu and the middle button until it does something)

(although I was going to say 'look for one of those depressed buttons that you'd need to use a pin-like contraption to press' - I don't own an iPod)

Mine doesn't work either!

Reset doesn't work. Diagnostics are normal, it doesn't charge and it will not recognise when I plug it in. The little charge sign appears, but its bogus - it actually isn't charging.

Thus, I haven't used it for ages. Any further ideas?

maybe contact apple and try to get it fixed... are you still within warranty??

Try updating the Firmware. Tell me your exact iPod details and I'll give you the FW package

I won the iPod in a competition. There's thus no warranty.

I can't update the firmware! It doesn't even DETECT in Windows! (i.e. does not recognise, Windows will not load it).
