an unjust and unjustified report!

Maybe my reaction is too dramatic etc. but, what if there is something in your school report that you firmly disagree with? Can you do something about it? (Without your teacher who marks your SACs to not hate you? LOL)
It's really nothing big. But its like the principle of it!
Okay, this is going to seem so insignificant! But my teacher gave me a Medium for "Completes work on set time" ( i know im sounding pretty damn pedantic) 1. She doesn't check the damn work 2. I do my work 3. i finsh it on time
I think i'm going crazy about because its my 'thing' (to finsh work early). And god, she gives the people who sit next to me (my friends) all Highs and they do jack all.

I'm probably not going to do anything about it, LOL now after thinking about it. it's pointless to some degree. But yeah i just don't think its unfair that my effort unrecognised.

Damn man i totally deserved that High. LOL

alrighty, i finished my 'rant' :)

umm you guys can post reports that were not a 'fair call' or i don't know put me in line and tell me how insignificant my issue is. LOL

The costs don't outweigh the benefits. Try to get over it.

All of my reports sucked when I was at school. That's not to say they weren't fair. :P

VCE rsults are all that count, and they don;t include subjective teacher assessments about your work ethic

Therefore, don't worry about it

PS. I bet i know why Dan got bad reports :P

I wouldn't worry about it. If your report is inaccurate it only highlights the teacher's hopelessness.

It's your actual results that count in year 12 and the effort that you put in- year 12 reports aren't worth the paper they are written on. Especially end of year reports- who needs them? lol

mand3e, this reminds me of a report I had a few yrs back.
For my favourite subject it gave me an A when I had definately recieved an A+  for an assement task.  :'(
I got so cut but then I decided changing it wasn't worth it.
I think everyone disagrees with something on their report at some point.

In grade one my report said I couldn't count to 100 and my parents got cut and when they had interviews they made me count to 100 to show her that I could :P

Hell, I didn't even care about a 71 I got in Summer Semester (which I know I did better on, because otherwise it means I would have scored 50% on the exam - which I felt like I aced).

It was a first year subject, meh. It might lose me the Deans Honours this year (not sure how it's calculated, actually), but currently my average is 86, so I should be able to get it (need something around an average of 93 next semester).

Coblin, you can only do one summer unit per year yeh? Someone told me that summer units are full-fee and even if you have a CSP course, you have to pay full fee. Fact or fiction?

Depends. I could do mine on CSP. I think the policy is that if you're CSP, you pay CSP (at Melbourne). This may not be true for some other subjects or universities, since I'd imagine the costs of running a summer subject are significantly higher (than during the semester), so they might require full-fee payers.

You can do 2 usually (upto 3 if "overloading" - you need authorisation to overload).

i just had to lets some steam off despite how crazily insignificant it is, but its still bugs me so yeah. lols.

all i can so is, that i can't look at the teacher in the same way anymore.

in fact, she was checking our work a few days ago... and she didn't call me up to check my work. hrrmmm i smell something fishy. (and i totally did do my holiday hw!)

mand3e, I really wouldn't worry about it, it's your VCE marks which count. I remember in year 10 my English teacher didn't like me and gave me a C+ average and I was sooooo upset about it because English was my best subject. I took great pleasure in giving him a stare at the assembly this year when my study score of 46 for English was read out

Aww, don't feel bad about it mand3e. I have my methods teacher (who is also coincidentally my Specialist teacher :P) who doesn't like me, and subsequently put a UG on my report (when I really received a D+ throughout the semester...). That didn't make me feel inferior, that actually made me want to strive to success, and prove that I was more than just someone sitting in class, but someone who is actually willing and persistent to achieve excellent marks (but it hasn't worked... Yet... :P)

That may have been me.

This policy can vary between universities, and indeed faculties. Best check your unit guides for more information. I know that most summer units at the IT faculty at Monash were full fee, except for a few subjects which were CSP for CSP students.
