very close, it was left to the 3rd speakers and they just so happened to keep a gun on reserve for the third. No cue cards at all!

That's a pretty good tactic. Although they try not to be, adjudicators tend to be swayed by a good third speaker because they're the most memorable when they're finalising their scores.

Aww, I hope I adjudicate a debate with your school next year. They seem prepared and well educated. Bad topic, but you still were good to lose by only 2 points. We lost by 9 last round.
