i rang up to tell my grandma and she goes "i'm soooooooo proud of you!"
"grandma, do you know what the numbers mean?"
"no but i'm so proud of you anyway"

a couple of days later i'm talking to my cousin who got 41 as an enter, and she goes "i called up grandma, i was like crying, and grandma was like OH I'M SO PROUD OF YOU! THAT'S SUCH A GOOD SCORE! and i was like....grandma...i did shit"

she then proceeded to tell me i'm making her 41 look bad :P
enter: 91.25
lit - 38

  lol at thread title

some people at my school thought that grades were all that mattered, like, if you got an A+ it wouldn't matter if you got 80% or 100%

As if this is a place where people dont laugh at your ENTER.

ENTER does not determine how smart you are. so you can STFU now...thanks
also, PM ME if you have a problem. bring up a problem which CONCERNS ME only, not half of VN who also do the same action.
thanks

ok i'm sorry.
won't do it again.
but wht did u mean about thankful? ???
well rather than say "look how shit, a 50" in PHYSICS, be grateful that you actually attained such a score and for the mathematically inclined brain you have.
i dont get how 50 is bad.....its the highest possible score availible.....what would u be happy with?....the premier's award and a kiss on the cheek :)

*hopes to get over 70 next year*

That's how my parents think it is. Over every exam, your ENTER is the average. Like, 82.75% in one subject is similar in the rest... Lol :P

haha, my parents did the "study score of 50 = 50%?! WTF DID YOU DO?!?!" thing too. :P

I'm more annoyed about when I tell people I do arts, several people have been like "what? you draw?!" >_> I'm so sick of explaining what an arts degree is!

Grrr... Why is that such a misconceived generalisation? Drawing is only a minor aspect of Arts. The wider variety of Arts is what a student really learns to appreciate and all of the diverse elements of Arts is what makes it so unique! I wish I took up a double degree in Law/Arts (like you Nina :D), so I could show my creative flare to the wider society and make a difference. ;)

Arts is NOT only about drawing!!! :D

Uhhh... Arts isn't so much not only about drawing, as not about drawing at all. That would be Art.

lol, that's quite funny. 'Arts' refers to the humanities and social sciences. You can still show off your creative side, but not in an immediately obvious way as in art...
