Most people who major in Accounting would prefer to get CPA professional accreditation.

Err. Nah, most employers would choose CA than CPA. CA is espically advantageous if you work for the Big 4, rather than getting CPA.

My point was that to get either of them, you need to do a long list of subjects that usually does not provide room for a second major, but yes, my bad, I don't know much about accounting accreditation, but I know that much.

Oh yeah, that's correct. The subjects you do for CA accreditation are plentiful, its hard to fit anything else.

Dw, its just CPA ads.... CA doesn't advertise as much lol.

You know how under the CA program they provide subjects to study for you to be accredited? Or was that CPA? If you've studied enough subjects to be accredited in uni, do you still have to study them?

CA accreditation is preferable to CPA accreditation.

I don't understand what the shaded subjects are...?

Double majors
It is possible to complete a double major in the BCom. Students are able to combine:

accounting (including full accreditation) with finance OR management OR marketing
finance with accounting (including full accreditation) OR economics OR management OR marketing
economics with finance OR management OR marketing
management with accounting (including full accreditation) OR economics OR finance OR marketing
marketing with accounting (including full accreditation) OR economics OR finance OR management.
Actuarial studies cannot be combined with any other major.

A double major requires the completion of six level-3 subjects, i.e. third year subjects, in two disciplines (three subjects per discipline).

im going to do finance+accounting, but dunno if i still have room for breadth subjects.
also for accounting you must do Principles of Business Law, Corporate Law and Taxation Law for breadth which sux

you would need to do those subjects anyway

so they won't take up our breadth subjects @ melbourne???

those 3 subjects "Principles of Business Law, Corporate Law and Taxation Law"
are breadth subjects, they are only compulsary if u want  accounting accreditation

same with Actuarial Studies u must include 2maths subjects in breadth
