Yes, I would say so because your brain uses glucose to function. I don't think it would be a substantially large amount of calories because not every part of your brain is activated for particular activities.

Apparently it does... but then again, according 2 the same site, u burn more calories while studying if u're heavier (which seems a little weird 2 me...).

Go figure.

Anywayz, it estimates that if a 60kg person studies for an hour, then they burn 110 calories.

I doubt it can estimate it that accurately, but I think it's fair 2 say that u do burn calories jst by thinking - but not many...
*Thinking* bout getting on the treadmill isn't quite gonna cut it :P

Yeah, heavier people burn more calories doing anything. I think it's because if a person is heavy, then it requires more energy to do stuff because there is more body mass to keep going, as it were. That's why people on the Biggest Loser practically drop heaps of weight in the beginning, otherwise they'd lose it at the same rate as a person of a healthy weight doing that much exercise.
