Title: Science Games [2020 version]
Post by: sweetiepi on January 18, 2020, 04:42:14 pm
What's less dangerous than the triwizard tournament and just as fun? It's the Science Games! 🔭🧪🔬

Returning for 2020, it is open to all- whether you're not quite in year 11 or 12, in year 11 or 12, or heck in uni and beyond! (Moderators aren't competing- that's the only restriction we have!)

From January 20th (so Monday!) to Feb 20, you are all invited to accumulate as many points as you can. Will you climb the ladder high enough and acheive the rank of master? 🤔

Want to see how you're doing? Visit our leaderboard here!

Asking questions doesn't earn points, but it does help you with your studies! :)

It’s the moment everyone (yes everyone) has been waiting for…
THE SCIENCE GAMES HAVE BEGUN
*cue confetti cannons and the roar of an excited crowd*

If you have some free time over the next few weeks, have a go at participating in the threads posted above! As already mentioned, these games aren’t just for people who have already done VCE science – they are for anyone (except mods/admins) and everyone. If you think you have something to contribute, we fully encourage you to do so – Not only will you be scoring points in the science games for doing so, but you will be improving your own skills and knowledge as well as perhaps even helping others!

Good Luck Sciencing!

We really love this initiative! Well done to everybody involved. 👏

At the end of The Science Games, we will be happy to award one set of Complete Course Notes to the top two on the leaderboard. You can choose any of the Complete Course Notes available (see VCE, HSC, QCE). Something science-related might be appropriate. ;D

Good luck, everybody!

Firstly a massive thank you and congradulations goes out to all who participated. Through your participation in these games you have not only earned points, but you have helped others by answering questions, and helped promote threads such as the science news threads and the ask a question and answer a question threads all of which will hopefully go on to be super interesting and fantastic resources in the future! So great work everyone on making these science games a sucsess and hopefully the amazing contributions seen in the science games will continue throughout the year!

Of course while everyone made awesome contributions, a special congradulations goes out to our biggest contributers of the science games with whys running away with the gold in first place, laura_ snatching up the silver in second place, and Arty dreams grabbing the bronze in third. Amazing work to all you three for realling putting in that extra effort and making a load of amazingly helpfull posts over the last month.
To celebrate your amazing efforts, the top two places - our science games champion whys and our runner up laura_ - will be getting a set of ATAR Notes course notes!

Once again, amazing work to everyone who participated!
