Do you like coffee? Do you drink it a lot? If so, how do you have it?
I drink it every day and, regrettably, have side effects if I don't. I'm a skinny cappuccino sort of guy, but only out of habit; I'd equally enjoy soy/skinny/full cream/no milk and cappuccino/latte/flat white/chai.
If I'm at home, I have instant coffee (black) or tea (also black, and strong).
:)

Honestly, can't see how I would function without coffee... I don't sleep very often hahaha help me
-
I am very glad that I'm not addicted to this drug. Like Voldemort, I don't like the idea of being reliant on any elixir. The $$$ in my pocket agree.
I like the taste of coffee, at least, whereas tea is sheer abomination.

Yeah? Is it a must-have in the morning?

I love latte and cappuccinos and literally every coffee ever and I must say that I equally love tea (there are like so many nice teas, and I collect fancy teas)
Coffee is what gets me through studying for more than 3 hours so that says it all

What's your favourite type of tea? ;D Perhaps you could give Heidi some recommendations. ;)

Let me HOPE that this post changes her outlook on tea ;D
black tea is bae and you can also couple black and lemon tea together (the ice tea version of this is so damn good) and yeah, so I could go on about the amazing ice teas.there are with all dem fruit infused flavours
Vanilla tea tastes like ice cream
Chai tea is divine
And there are exotic ones, like a British tea brand which made a mango infused black tea kinda thing which tasted good.
Heidi, there are so many undiscovered teas waiting for the likes of you to enlighten your taste buds with. Trust me on this. :D

I obviously like coffee.

Ayyye, same!
Skinny cappuccino is my usual order. I sometimes get a skinny latte if I feel like one.
Mocha's are a nice sweet treat though, especially during the winter. :D
Usually I'll drink tea when I'm at home though, English breakfast usually, or sometimes peppermint. I'll drink it either with a drop of milk, or without.
To add onto the tea recommendations in this thread :P I'd recommend T2. They've got an assortment of teas so you're bound to find something you like. I love the Melbourne breakfast tea from there. It's got a hint of vanilla which I love.

Coffee is excellent.
But usually I don't have an excuse to drink it.

Gotta get that skinny cappuccino x2 one time. 8)
I can't do mochas, though. Way too sweet for me.

I've has the misfortune of drinking coffee a few times in my life.
It tastes extremely bitter and the flavour is not at all appealing.
Choccy milk is far superior.

Yes please, haha. 8)
See, I can't do hot chocolates for this exact reason- too sweet. :P But I like a chocolate fix every now and then, so mocha it is!

That's what the chocolate powder is for. ;)
-
I only really have it when I'm really tired because it always makes me jittery and I feel even more stressed! But it does its job in keeping me awake and tbh it tastes amazing :P
-
Tbh cappuccinos are alright and I'll buy one whenever I feel like one, (after I was convinced by some people to try one >.>) but I'd still prefer tea over coffee any day. :P
That being said, I try not to rely on caffeine, because every time I have it, (coffee or otherwise) I have the energy akin to that of a 5yo child on red cordial. :)
-
I used to drink coffee with heaps of sugar and with milk when I was younger. ;D But I haven't drank coffee for years, since I thought it would be bad for me, since I already get my daily dose of caffeine from cola and chocolate. Like everything, coffee is good in moderation, but if you drink excess amounts, it becomes harmful.
-

I'm not sure, once the surge of caffeine hits you, it's like being supercharged.
No wonder so many people use it as an artificial substitute for sleep.

Have you ever tried a chai latte? :)

Yes, I'd rather spend my unhealthy food points on chocolate cake, which interestingly enough tastes rather nice with a spot of coffee powder mixed in.
So I guess the invention of coffee was not entirely bad.

I completely agreee with you. Chocolate>>>>>>>>>>>>>Coffee. So I'd rather have my daily intake of caffeine eating chocolate or something nice, than having to overload my coffee with sugar to make it drinkable.

Chocolate>>>>>>>>>>>>>Coffee.

^See, that's where Harry isn't very clever. Hermione would never have made such a mistake.

I have one coffee a day, in the morning. However it really dries my mouth up so I limit it to one.
If this was a 'Choccie milk v. coffee' thread, i'd go with choccie milk anyday of the week.
P.s - Coffee without any sort of sugar is shite.

Well since the topic is your thoughts on coffee, I think it fair to present infinitely superior alternatives for those of us who aren't literally tasteless ;)
-
a 'Choccie milk v. coffee' thread
Is this... is this going to be a thing?
Because I feel the ATAR Notes Forums would become particularly tense. ;D
-
When life gives you coffee. . . . . . . drink it ;D
but yeah, choccie milk is 50x better.
-
There are so many factors that go into coffee:
* Type of coffee?
* Black or white?
* Sugar or no sugar?
* Iced or hot?
...
I know when i'm at uni - I take advantage of the Barista Bros availability via the vending machines. I've had iced choc and 'double strength' coffee and the latter is only good for when you're about to fall asleep (and that is probably 99.999% of the time). The morning coffee I mentioned in my previous post is hot, 1 sugar, and about 75/25 (water/milk).
-
There are so many factors that go into coffee:
It truly caters for all people. ;)
-
Unfortunately coffee doesn't really work on me :(
But I've been drinking it everyday for the past few weeks anyway :P
I like mocha the best haha. Cos of the sweet chocolatey-ness :)
-
I feel that the poll needs more options...Like a "I don't like coffee but I can think of worse things to drink"
Tea is way better than coffee ;)

Basically any black tea that isn't cheap and nasty 8) With a dash of milk of course.
One of my favourites is Twinings Australian Afternoon, but I do also really enjoy most T2 black teas :) However I'm not a fan of tisanes - some are ok but I'm really a black tea kind of person.
If Heidi says she doesn't like tea, she just hasn't found the right type yet ;)

Can we agree that, as a general rule, berry teas are unpleasant?

Yes, yes we can. People who say they're amazing are just lying to themselves

We're not so different, you and I.

Yo!
Going to bump this thread for all the coffee lovers and coffee haters out there. :)
-
Gotta say, I've made a strong transition to pretty much exclusively black coffee over the last year or so.
-
I think I've had one sip of coffee in my life. Very unpopular opinion but I just don't like it, even the smell makes me flinch when my parents make it in the morning.
-
My sister (7) loves to play pretend café and always comes and asks me if I want a cup-of-chino.
I keep mucking around at the uni café and changing my coffee order even though my usual go-to is cappuccino 😂
-
What do people think about Starbucks coffee? I remember when I was in Year 8 (like 4 years ago) I really liked their Caramel Macchiato (idk how to spell it sorry if it's wrong).
My mum makes filter coffee which everyone (and me) LOVES but I can't drink coffee because it severely impacts my sleep patterns and quality.
-
I learnt how to make coffee at school in years 11/12 but I'd be pretty bad at it now. I don't really like the taste of coffee and it used to give me headaches. Would only normally drink it if I had a late class (almost every week for my 6-8pm lecture last year)! If so, normally only a mocha.
-
After overdosing on caffeine, yeah... not a fan.
But I do love the taste of coffee however would require it to be decaf.
Technically though... wouldn't Starbucks and other coffee chains are some of the biggest drug dealers in today's society?
