can someone explain to me how to find x on a right angle triangle using sohcahtoa

identify which trigonometric ratio you would need, then once you have got your equation, rearrange it to make x the subject. For ex:lets say that the side that you were trying to find was associated with an angle of 30 degrees.  if the ratio you are using to find the unknown side is sine and the unknown angle was the opposite. Then you would do this, sine 30 = x/h, then you would rearrange this to make x the subject. so it would be, x=  h*sine*30. if your still stuck then have a look a this: http://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/trig-finding-side-right-triangle.html

Hey dude,
If you want help just post it on another thread like the JMSS testing 2015. It just gets a bit annoying seeing all these new treads pop up about one simple maths question on the wrong sub-forum.
