I remember for the reading section what I did was skip to all the grammar/spelling questions bc they were easy and not time consumed, and then go back to the comprehension parts. They literally have a page or more worth of information for 3-4 questions if I remember correctly and it's really time consuming if you're a slow reader (like I am) and still pretty time consuming even if you're fast at reading hahaha. You don't want to be throwing away the marks that you couldn't gotten easily bc you ran out of time (since hardly anyone finishes)).

Personally, I found it easiest to read the question first and then quickly skim the extracts to identify the useful information and then read those parts more carefully. But I know some people who find that more difficult, so it's ultimately up to you to experiment.

I also remember having read a few of the extracts somewhere/knowing the story for some reason so I only read the first few sentences and just answered the questions based on memory. Not too sure if it's still like this, but they might be recycling stories/extracts? If so, reading broadly would be good - even if it's not the case, it'll help you with your vocab and other stuff!!

And if you can't finish it, just guess! lmao, you don't need to do everything perfectly to be offered a place, I remember I walked out guessing half the questions and it was fine!

For comprehension, I think the best thing you can do is build up your ability to read texts and extract information from it for the full duration of the actual comprehension test (30 mins from memory?) The hardest part for a lot of people is being able to concentrate and read dense texts for 30 mins straight, so it's good to practice and get used to it.

Can't help you much with writing (the tests I did the worst in), but try not to overthink it. With the tiny amount of time you're given, they are not going to expect a perfect essay, so don't worry too much about getting the wording perfect etc.

For the multiple choice tests, as sprout said, just guess if you don't have time. For the maths test, I still had 20-30 questions unanswered when the lady said "5 mins to go", so I just randomly circled bubbles and somehow got a superior :P Try not to leave anything blank, you've got nothing to lose!

Best of luck :)

I think for analytical it's very easy to get a superior in it by being simple.
I'd recommend looking at the topic, swiftly thinking of 3 arguments (they don't have to be in-depth or groundbreaking, just some sound arguments) and writing three coherent body paragraphs. They do not need to have glossy words, just use simple words (if u have gr8 words then use em but it isnt a requirement... it wasn't for me)
If you write a sound essay, with three good fleshed out body paragraphs (try follow a teel structure or what not) you should be more than fine, because you are competing with others.
Dont worry about being absolutely unique and outstanding (if you can that's great, but dont fall into the pressure that this instills)
gl and happy studying :)

Other than studying hard, I think that the most important thing is not to stress out. Remember that this exam isn't everything and it will probably hinder your performance on the day if you're stressed out and worried about failing. Also, in the writing section I feel that writing quality work is better than writing huge slabs of text. I made the mistake of prioritising quantity over quality. Just do your best and good luck!

For the creative? Doesn't really matter, although most people find it very challenging to write a second person narrative (I've never tried).
