Hey guys,
Helping a family friend with scholarship preparation and was wondering what sort of things I would need to teach in terms of level of maths, english and humanities? Can anyone give me some insight into the humanities section - a little clueless in terms of content covered? Does anyone have experience with the scotch scholarship exam and care to share some experiences? Its for year 10 entry in 2018.
Thank so much!
I sat the test way back (and subsequently graduated from Scotch).
- The humanities section (if it hasn't changed), should be like your standard scholarship examination in terms of verbal reasoning questions (which of these words is a synonym, bit of logic, etc)
- The maths section is generally quite tricky (written by head of maths and a lot of questions were competition-level). Doing past AMC questions were quite useful, since there were high levels of correlation.
If it's for Year 10 entry, it'd be quite more difficult I presume than what Year 6s and 8s would sit.
