Does anyone know what topics to study for in maths? (selective entry, year 11 - 2019) Thanks

Hi, I didn't do the year 11 SCHS mathematics exam, but I doubt it would be different from the year 11 EBSS and JMSS one so here are the topics that were on the exam. Mathematics: quadratics, trigonometry, nonlinear and linear concepts, proportion, geometry, circle geometry and mensuration. I'd recommend that you know how to do all the basics for each of these topics within 30 seconds.

Read a few threads from last year, and it seems most people were saying that you need to know the same stuff from year 8 and 9, plus some year 10 topics. Not sure of specifics.

also, i would be really grateful if any random tips are posted as this is the first time i’m going for an entrance exam!!

As for past topics, last year's topic for persuasive writing was  "social media is making people more self-absorbed." - do you agree or disagree?
Creative topic 2017: There were two pieces of dialogue, "Why should I trust you" and "Because I am the only one that knows".

I think the writing topics that the year 10s and year 11s get are the same? (last year's topics were the same but idk)
