I just completed my first exam (yes I procrastinated UMAT for a very long time) and am quite shaken by the percentile I received.
I received a 76 percentile for the first exam. I know Medentry states that this may not be a good reflection of the real UMAT cohort but it was still quite surprising.

What kind of percentile would this likely translate to for the actual exam?

Hey Lear,

please do not feel disheartened. I felt utterly defeated when i did medentry exams because my percentiles were so low. I am talking about in the 30s. I am talking about medentry telling me after their practice exam that I would have a very slim chance of getting into medicine. On the individual section practices usually I did better but the whole exam thing was very hard for me, to the point where I accepted I wastrying my best nad that was all I coudl do. In my opinion, if you go t75% on your first try you're going pretty well!

Hey Lyra!
Thanks for your response I really appreciate it.
For section 3, did you find the ACER questions were similar in ideas to Medentry ones? It happened to be my worst section and I was wondering if I should pretty much try and do every drill of section 3 I could.

76th percentile in the medentry cohort is actually really good. I did a few medentry exams and averaged around 65th percentile, but ended up with 89th in the real thing, so it’s pretty clear that the UMAT cohort is substantially worse than the medentry cohort.
