also sorry to text again but I'm also doing the test this weekend (good luck to everyone) but does anyone have some last-minute tips on how to answer as many questions or any tips? I have looked at other threads but any tips will help  :) Also for the writing component does anyone know what our topic is?
bye

Hi!!
I’m a year 9 and I’m doing my test for JMSS this week week :'( I was wondering what type of questions were on the math tests and how hard they were. Did it mostly cover the year 9 or 10 textbook? If you could remember what type of questions show up could you please tell me? Everyone is saying the test is easy and much easier than the selective school one but honestly I’m nervous coz maths isn’t my strongest subject. I got a high average on both maths test for the electives last year(still confused how).

If a lot of people cheat and get higher scores, does that mean you need a higher score overall to pass the exam? Also what scores do you have to get to pass the exam?

No you can pass with one (maybe even with zero). I got two superiors and a high average, however I also got below averages and I managed to get an interview.

Half the people who do the test pass and get an interview so it isn't incredibly competitive. You just need to overall do well.

The maths questions were pretty similar to the year 8 selective school test. As long as you have general understanding on year 9 and 10 maths, you should be fine.
