Selective school test (mhs) question :L

The Selective school test for victoria is in about 3 weeks more or less.

I was wondering if you can write on the question sheet or not (not the answer sheet, the question sheet).
Also, is there perusal time (time for looking at the questions) before the test actually starts? :-\ :idiot2:

I am very stupid. Any help is appreciated. :smitten:

my brother says: no, but they will give you spare paper to write on

re: reading time, he thinks so?

edit: unsolicited advice from bro - "work on your reading comprehension, that was so so hard"

Seems so long ago i did that test :|
I guess its sort of like your ATAR, it matters so much when your doing it, but you forget about it altogether soon

i'm pretty sure there was a separate answer sheet but i'm not sure there was reading time, at least, there was not reading time before each individual section.

He's such a player

I'm pretty sure you can do working out on the question sheet. Unless things have changed since I did it five years ago

I have read this from education.vic.gov website but it's confusing  :idiot2:  :uglystupid2: Does it mean with the two writing tests, there is no reading time unless we are required to provide an essay-type response or where they have the choice to answer one question from a list...

Is there an essay-type response in this exam?  :idiot2:

About the entrance examination

The entrance examination comprises six tests in total, covering both ability and achievement tests. The examination takes approximately three hours to complete.

The entrance examination is designed to test and challenge students; therefore your child may find the examination demanding.

Each multiple-choice test is 30 minutes in length; the two writing tests are 15 minutes each, and students do not get any additional reading time. Normally, a short 15 minute break is taken after the completion of the numerical reasoning test.

Additional reading time is usually introduced into exams when students are required to provide an essay-type response or where they have the choice to answer one question from a list, in which case the extra reading time allows them to decide what question they will answer. Therefore, with regard to multiple-choice tests, extra reading time is not necessary. However, prior to commencing each test the administrator will go through three practice examples with the group to ensure they have an understanding of what to expect.

Err I'm pretty sure there's no reading time. I don't recall getting any anyway.

Maybe you are using the wrong retrieval cue :p

But yeah, no reading time IIRC.

Glad you picked up the purposeful use of the word recall rather then remember :P

Pretty sure I accidentally did on my answer sheet (marking verbal reasoning questions I had left out :( ). Don't think it mattered much... Pretty sure writing on question booklet is allowed though, I did for maths and NR, and some fail methods for VR too.
