Post by: J_Rho on July 30, 2019, 10:52:34 am
To past and current Deakin Accelerate Students,
My last report was trash (See marks below)
1/2 English - E+, C+, B, B
1/2 General Maths - B+, A+, B+, A+
1/2 Legal - A+, D, C, C+, A
1/2 Psych - A, C, C
1/2 Business - B, B, C+, E+
3/4 Bio - averaging 50% on SACS
What marks did you have at school when you applied for the Deakin accelerate program?
What kind of academic documents did you use?

Hi!
I am a current Deakin Accelerate student. If you are interested in getting a leg up on your peers, are willing to put in a little bit of extra work, and want it to contribute to your ATAR, I definitely recommend applying!
My grades around B+ to A+, but as long as you are doing well in the chosen field of the accelerate subject, you should be fine. I used my reports and a reference from my teacher.
Hope this has helped :))

also just another question

Would a school academic report be fine?

Like do I have to go into specifics about my grades?

From memory, you had to list your specific grades in the related subject, which I did by using my report.
Any school academic report should be fine, as long as it gives an indication of your overall achievement.

Despite having an A+ grade average in the subject I want to study as Accelerate my teacher refused to give me approval because im "not organised enough"
I'm super bummed like man at least give me a chance to apply...i spent like hours writing my responses to the questions  :'(
