I've got mine tomorrow at 9am but I've got work right after so skipping it would be ideal ;)
But then again, is it something that's being marked or something worth having a shot at?
-
They scan your student ids.
It's not being marked, I just did the pipetting stuff. Our whole prac table left without the demonstrator noticing for the drawing we cbf.

I don't know how i'm gonna survive a whole semester of biology prac again.
Had to make my partner to all the work in the mouse dissection because i just can't stand the smell and the sight :/

eww the mouse dissection, yep made my partner do that too (I felt so bad afterwards because she hated mice too)

I guess that's one good thing about Monash's first-year Biology course: we don't dissect actual mice; we use a simulator.
Though we will have to dissect a toad...
(And isn't mouse dissection a very archaic prac? Are there any health concerns in doing it? I had no idea it was still allowed in student labs!)

They smell like alcohol. Probably well sterilised and were bred for experimental purposes.
There was a pregnant mouse in one of the students mouse and you could see the little baby mice!!

What.
(I feel a little bad for it...)

Lol yeah we had numerous placenta in our mouse with around 6-7 little unborn babies in them. Cute but sad.. :/

We were in the same bio prac then hah.
You guys are kinda squeamish then? It doesn't phase me in the slightest. That's not to say I LOVE PLAYING WITH MOUSE CADAVERS AND CUTTING OPEN HEARTS, I don't think it'd be a desirable day job, but I also don't get phased much by it.
