Accelerated subjects

Hello, I am going into year 10 this year and hoping to do methods, spec, physics, English, chemistry and biology for units 123 and 4.
My question is, should I accelerate these subjects (I want to accelerate bio and physics) and my other question is, how do I accelerate them? Do I ask a teacher or is there a website to help me because people say that it's a good idea and they talk about it but they don't tell you how to do it so please help me🤣
Thanks in advance

Hello,

Acceleration is something you should talk to your school about. Some schools have different practices around acceleration (for example, only being able to accelerate one subject, only being able to accelerate particular subjects). Discussing this early gives you a stronger chance of being able to do the acceleration you hope for. Ideally, this is something that would have been brought up in year 9 so you could be starting units 1&2 for (a) chosen subject/s now.

It also seems like acceleration is much less common in Queensland than in Victoria.

Out of the subjects you've listed, afaik biology is the most common choice for acceleration.

Best of luck for your studies and I hope this helps :)
