Hi everyone! :)
I'm struggling to find someone who I can practice Japanese with regularly. I've tried HelloTalk and iTalki for months but I wasn't able to find a consistent partner. I had a look around the forums and heard of Japaneasy but it's too late for me to go to.
Is anyone interested in working together or know a good website where I could find Japanese people looking for consistent language exchange?
Thanks!!

What do you mean by consistent?
Best bet would probably be working out times/turns with a partner. You're unlikely to find a good arrangement unless you're also meeting their needs.

Hi sarangiya, thanks for your reply!
Consistent like as in weekly :). Some people I spoke with came home very late so I wasn't able to meet with them and some of them didn't take it too seriously and some replied very slowly/infrequently. I'm just wanting to know if anyone knows any good places to look for language partners other than iTalki or HelloTalk.

I'm in the same boat too! If you can do in person meetups, I know there's a few language exchange meetups that occur weekly such as Progressibu, Language Exchange at the Multicultural Hub and the Melsearch Language Exchange. I haven't been able to go to any so far unfortunately :( so I'm not sure what they're like exactly.

Hi Syubi! Thank you, I'll have a look at those places :)
Ah, are you doing Japanese 3/4? If you're interested, we could maybe work together somehow?

Yeah sounds good!! Would be great to have more Japanese buddies haha (you could add me on fb or something if you'd like?)

I'm also doing Japanese 3/4 so count me in although I'm pretty terrible .-. but still I guess it would somewhat help with listening too?

Great! Of course Shinkaze, the more the merrier. :)

First one I used was japan-guide, but it seems to have been discontinued.
Use hello talk, and set the age range to similar to yours (ie: 16-22).
Talk about how amazing you think it is the Olympics are going to be held in Japan until you find someone who's very proud that Japan is holding the olympics in 2020.
I have heard that a lot of Japanese school students are becoming more motivated to learn English because of the Olympics, so if you find someone like that, they'll be a good "consistent" language partner. Also, try get their LINE accounts after you've talked to them for a while because Japanese people check LINE more often.
