Title: Worth Buying 2016 Checkpoints MM & SM Books for Units 1&2?
Post by: Adequace on November 20, 2015, 09:15:15 pm
I'm not sure if it would be worth buying them but I don't want to feel like I 'missed' out of anything by not buying them. However, I'm not sure if I'll have time to even complete them with the 2 3/4s I'm doing next year.

If it matters I'll be using the 2016 edition Cambridge books for next year and I also want to get 35+ in both subjects in Year 12 if that sways your opinion in anyway  :)

Nah - I don't reckon any 1/2 checkpoints is worth it at all for anything. They're pretty useless, particularly when compared to the extended response section of the Cambridge books.

Tbh, if you want more challenge/more questions from methods, just buy the 3/4 book and do practice questions from that. Anything in specialist 1/2... Maybe buy the checkpoints books if you're getting desperate, but wave it off until then.
